"If he were chocolate...

.. he would be eating himself". The commentators have such a way with words! My wife is happy - her team are winning. She deserves to be happy, life is tough for her at the moment. I am so proud of her though, for doing what she's doing and sticking at it, through all that she has had to go through in the last few months. I don't think I have been as supportive as I could have been recently, the crap all seems to have come at once. But when we are done life will be good, life will be back to being perfect.

Snow

I love the snow but hate that we just can't cope with it in this country. Granted we don't get too much of the stuff but at least once a year a couple of centimeters of snow falls and the place grinds to a halt. I recently had to go to Sweden for work and although it didn't stop snowing for a week, the roads were clear, the pavements gritted and life went on as normal. I didn't land on my backside once.
So why over here can we not cope. Yes the councils do a good job but they could do better. And as for the people who carry on driving as they normally do, not thinking that slowing down might be appropriate, don't be complaining when you go sliding all over the road. But DO try and avoid me. Rant over and having said all that, I still love the snow as it gives me the excuse to 'work from home'! Time to put the kettle on.

Here not there

Today I didn't want to be at work which is fairly unusual for me, especially since I get to spend some time in the lab today doing science rather than at a desk reading and writing about it. Today though I wanted to be elsewhere, outside in the sunshine, wrapped up nice and warm walking on a beach or in the Lakes. Then sitting beside the window in a cosy pub with a real log fire, watching that gorgeous sunset we just had. *sigh*

Get With It

Okay so now I have a blog, I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. Firstly where are the instructions...?
