Daydreams

People at NASA are controlling a robot on Mars so why can't I get a robot that is capable of doing routine, boring lab work leaving me to sit in the sunshine eating ice cream. I would be quite happy to log on to my laptop from home in the morning and set the robot running then check back later in the day for the results. In the mean time I could be doing something else. The technology probably does exist so could someone just make it affordable.
